The homeowner had noticed a low spot about an inch deep—an indicator of potential structural concerns in their pier and beam construction. Our process began when our Customer Care Specialist arranged for a detailed inspection. A System Design Specialist from our Sales Team then visited the site, thoroughly inspecting the existing floor structure and accurately diagnosing the problem: inadequate support was causing significant floor settling. To address this and ensure long-term stability, we recommended the SmartJack® System. Once the solution was approved, our skilled production team began the installation. The SmartJack® System is designed to stabilize crawl space beams and floor joists. We first ensured a solid base with engineered fill, effectively distributing the home’s weight. Next, galvanized steel columns were custom-cut to the required length and set on robust 12-inch steel bases. Secured to the existing girders using adjustable top brackets, these components facilitated the lifting of the sagging floor back towards its original elevation. Upon installation completion, the sagging was addressed, reducing the problem significantly. We left the crawl space cleaner than it was found. With smarter support now in place, the risk of future sagging is minimized, ensuring reliability for years to come. This intelligent and durable solution highlights our commitment to providing homeowners with exceptional, lasting care and performance.
